FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

How do I order a "Kit"?

Typically, every restoration project is different and very specific to the customer’s needs and expectations, and also the condition of their vehicle and phase of the project. There are generally a lot of questions at the time when upholstery, panels, carpets and/or tops are under consideration.
After a customer contacts us we send to them a free, detailed literature/sample package on their model. This package contains materials, prices and options for the various parts that we manufacture for that model, including upholstery, panels, carpets and tops. Any part may be purchased individually.

After reading through the literature and reviewing the samples, it is common for the customer to have a few questions. A phone call to us on our toll free number (1-800-221-5408) will bring the customer through this stage. We feel strongly that personal contact with the customer goes a long ways towards ensuring customer satisfaction. At this time, if a customer is ready, an order is placed which reflects their choice of materials, colors and parts. A deposit of one third of the total order price is required at this time. The order is then assigned a scheduled date of manufacture, normally 6 weeks. If a customer requests a shorter delivery time, we will make every reasonable effort to comply with their request.

When the order is complete the customer is notified, the balance due paid and order shipped.

Orders may also be placed by mail or fax. Consistent with our commitment to personal customer service, as well as the number of options and other variables within each order, we do not take orders for Kits online.

I have heard it only takes 3 weeks to produce my Kit. Is this true?

Yes. We have made a big effort to reduce our production time on kits. We now ship on average in three weeks from date of order...  without any compromise to our quality standards.

Where do you get your original-type materials, fabrics, carpets and trims for your kits?

Original fabrics, carpet and trims are taken from original vehicles. These are used as "standards” in working with the mills that are our suppliers. With the exception of a few carpets produced in England, all LeBaron Bonney materials are produced in the US.

LeBaron Bonney trims are either made in-house or manufactured for us by speciality companies from our materials.
